The Green Soccer Journal is back with their third issue, again taking their unique approach to one of the world’s greatest games to print. Known for taking the spotlight off of the usual news of signings and transfers, the publication delves deeper into the culture behind the sport with each issue.

Available both in store and online now, issue three of The Green Soccer Journal focuses the art of professional goalkeeping in the modern era; the pressures and responsibilities involved, and the mental strength needed to survive what can be a parlous undertaking.

The journal speaks to some of the games top shot stoppers including Bob Wilson, Tim Howard and the most expensive goalkeeper of all time, Gianluigi Buffon. Each discussing their feelings toward the position, the highs and lows they encountered, and the reasons they went for the gloves.

Issue Three also introduces a new shorts section, showcasing snippets of football culture and classic games to keep you occupied over the winter months.

Our next limited release from New Balance comes in the form the 997HNN in collaboration with Japanese streetwear kings Nonnative. The shoe being dubbed ‘The Dunes’ features a sandy tonal upper comprised of Nubuck and Leather with a beautiful Mesh toebox. On the medial side of the shoe you will find a bright blue accent highlighting the instep, providing that little bit of POP every shoe needs. To keep things even more interesting the inner sole has the number ‘7’ from the 997 printed on top of the number ‘8’. This is to pay homage to the 998 midsole used on all new 997’s due to the breaking of the 997 midsole mould during the late 90’s.

This collaboration will be available exclusively at Up There in Australia and on sale at 11am on Saturday, February the 4th! This is our most limited New Balance collaboration to date so don’t sleep!
