The SL and ST are back, with the New York natives 3sixteen delivering their black selvedge renditions of the classic cuts. Both the SL220X Straight Leg, and ST220X Slim Tapered come to us in a black/black raw selvedge which consists of both black warp and weft threads woven into a 14.5 ounce weighted denim. Each pair is woven exclusively for 3sixteen at Kuroki Mills in Okayama, Japan, before the rolls of denim are sent to the United States and crafted at the hands of 3sixteen's craftsmen. Each pair is finished with custom buttons, gunmetal rivets, a black chromexcel leather patch by Tanner Goods, and tonal stitching built to last and endure the rigors of everyday wear. The raw black denim is quite resistant to fade at first, with hard wear the black will eventually fade to grey in high wear areas to give you the same contrasts and character as you'd normally get from a regular indigo pair. Both sleections are available in store and online now alongside a selection of 3sixteens Indigo Denim, Leather Belts, and Heavyweight Tees. For a comparitive look at both the ST220X and SL220X cuts head on over after the jump with Brendan on the left wearing the ST220X and James wearing the SL220X on the right.
