We’d like to welcome Oakley’s range of limited finished Frogskins to the shelves here at the store. A try classic in the eyes of Oakley, the original Frogskins were the first shades to feature a dual lens. Crafted from lightweight hand made acetate frames the frog skins come to us in two variations, the original series in Matte Black with either Black or Ruby polarised lenses, Polished Clear, and Polished Black whilst the LX series come to us in Grey Tortoise and Green Tortoise finishes. Each pair come standard with a three point fit for comfort and lens alignment, lightweight hand crafted frames, durable flexible hinge mechanisms for fit, and a series of lens finishes that coat Oakley’s signature six base curved lenses. The complete range from Oakley is now available in store at both McKillop Street and Coventry Street locations, as well as online.


July 20th, 2015

American denim connoisseurs 3sixteen have delivered their latest denim cut with the CT-100X and along with it an array of their Heavyweight T-shirt Packs. The CT-100X blends two of 3sixteen's cuts with the classic straight and slim tapered merging into the one silhouette. The result, a high rise, and taper from the knee downwards  set across their signature custom woven indigo denim from Kuroki Mills in Japan before been crafted in the United States. Their Heavyweight T-Shirt Packs come to us in Black, Grey, Indigo, and White and feature a heavyweight cotton body constructed in the united states, dyed from natural dyes and stitched together using 3sixteen's signature never-sag collar. It's Monday morning and that can mean one of two things, the weekend's over, and Mr. Mannequin's back to grace your screens with another array of his weekly selections from Christian Kimber, Larose, Monitaly, and Needles. Kicking it all off this week with a layered combination of Needles' Rebuilt 7 Cut Shirt in Indigo Dye, paired off with Monitaly's Vancloth Deck Parka in Black, and Larose's Burlap Baseball Cap in Forest Green. Heading down to the lower half of this week's outfit and Mr. Mannequin's slid into a fresh pair of Monitaly Cone Selvedge Indigo Denim and laced up a pair of our latest delivery of Christian Kimber with our exclusive Burgundy Siglo Sneaker to finish the outfit off. New Balance have reworked one of their classics, taking to the 1500 silhouette with a clean and modernised 're-rengineered' variation. The MD1500DG and MD1500DS come to us in a tonal Beige, and Black with the reworked upper slimming down and streamlining the series of panel, to a seamless toebox. Both pairs are accented with a natural leather heel wrap which runs through to the lining before been finished off with tonal embroidered detailing similar to it's classic counterpart. The re-engineered upper sits atop a crisp white re-tooled sole unit which looks identical to the original, switched out for REVlite technology to lighten the load. Both pairs of the 1500 're-engineered' are now available in store and online with all of the finer details after the jump.

Converse’s First String division and Missoni have put their heads together yet again this season to deliver a duo of collaborative silhouettes with the Chuck Taylor 1970’s Ox and Deck Star getting a makeover. Both silhouettes take on an intricate upper wrapped in Missoni’s signature woven fabrics. Both the Deck Star and 1970’s Chuck Taylor feature richly textured oatmeal white base weaving cotton rayon and flax with earthy golden and deep burgundy to create a distinct pattern. Finished off with a crisp white sole unit, before heading inside the shoe to a heavy duty canvas lining and terracotta inner soles with co-branding.

Both the Chuck Taylor 1970’s Ox and Deck Star collaborative efforts will be releasing in store this Saturday the 18th of July at our Level 1/15 McKillop Street store from 11am, with any remaining pairs releasing online from 12pm the same day. Sizes US5 through to US12 including half sizes with retail set at $240. Numbers are limited so remember to get in quick to avoid missing out!

Adidas Originals have hit us with another flashback of the Stan Smith with their deluxe rendition of the white/green tennis classic. Coming to us in it’s traditional white and green accented makeup, these latest Stan Smiths feature a heavy duty waxy leather upper with all of details you’ve come to love with perforated three stripes embossed heel cap, and of course Stan’s stamp of approval with his portrait donning the tongue. This latest offering is available both in store at our McKillop and Coventry Street Stores and online with all of the finer details after the jump.

Carhartt’s Work in Progress range has delivered some winter warmers to layer under or over with the cold blast with their Lopez Sweaters. Coming to us in Dark Heather Grey, and Dark Petrol, each of the Lopez Sweaters feature a thick and warm lambswool body jacquard woven with an accenting red woollen weave to add a subtle texture and pattern.  The 7 gauge knit is finished off with a subtle Carhartt Woven hem label to complete one of their warmer pieces. Both Lopez Sweaters are now available in store exclusively at our 275 Coventry Street Store in South Melbourne as well as online.

Diadora have hit their archives, unboxing another true classic with the S8000 and recrafting it in Italy to give us the 'Espresso Ristretto'. This nod to the traditional coffee drink will be hitting our shelves this Saturday the 18th of July in extremely limited numbers. Crafted from premium italian leathers and suedes, the S8000's details are second to the quality craftsmanship of the Italian factory the shoes are made in. Each pair is wrapped in Dark Grey, and Black suedes, off-white messhes and leathers, before a hit of teal is added through the embroidery piping, and midsole.

The Diadora S8000 Espresso Ristretto will be releasing this Saturday the 18th of July at our Level 1/15 McKillop Street store from 11am with any remaining pairs releasing from 12pm in our online store the same day. Mr. Mannequin is back and in action this week putting together his weekly selections with some of our latest from Monitaly, Upstate Stock, our Premier by Up There range, and our latest collaborative delivery from Converse and Hancock. Kicking it all off this week with a combination of Monitaly's Hooded Army Tent Parka, pairing it off with our Premier Ace Crewneck Sweat in Heather Grey and Raskal Shirt in Blue Patchwork, whilst keeping his head warm with Upstate Stock's Ragg Wool Beanie in Powder Blue. Heading down to the lower half of this week's outfit and Mr. Mannequin's opted for a fresh pair of our Premier Johnny Chino Pants in Black before finishing the outfit off with Converse's collaborative efforts with Hancock and their Jack Purcell Rally Ox in Orange/Jaffa. Converse’s First String division have come together with Hancock to wrap their vulcanised articles around the an update of the classic Jack Purcell. The updated Jack Purcells better known as the ‘Rally Ox’ feature a single layer of vulcanised canvas with a cured rubber overlay highlighting the significant lines of the silhouette in a trio of colours. The Orange/Jaffa, Juice/Ink, Teal/Mastic finishes come lined with Hancock’s signature Siphonia Elastica print, branded woven inner soles, embroidered tongue, and grosgrain logo pull tab to help slide the Jack Purcell on and off with ease. All three colourways sit atop the Jack Purcell’s signature smiley sole in an off-white tonal finish. As with all of Hancock’s vulcanised articles, the Jack Purcell Rally feature waterproof uppers ready for the weather to bead right off for seasonal weather protection.

The Converse x Hancock Jack Purcell Rally Ox will be hitting our shelves this Saturday the 11th of July at our Level 1/15 McKillop Street store.
