CONVERSE X NIGEL CABOURN 1970 CHUCK TAYLOR VENTILE

March 21st, 2014

As apart of Converse’s First String range, the latest collaborative release has enlisted the styling of Nigel Cabourn, coming together on the latest rendition of their Chuck Taylor 1970’s silhouette. Taking to the classic silhouette, Nigel Cabourn has wrapped the upper of the Chuck Taylor in a Ventile fabric upper a material from the WWII archives that Cabourn is all too familiar with. This off-white waterproof upper is accented by pops of red alongside the printed branding, midsole foxing, and embroidered ventilation holes. Of course this isn’t your normal Chuck Taylor, with all of the first string details from yesteryear such as higher foxing, upper reinforcement, arch cushion innersole, reworked toe box, and players name label inside the tongue to finish it all off.

The Nigel Cabourn Chuck Taylor All Star Hi 1970 will be releasing this Saturday the 29th of March in store at our Level 1, 15 McKillop Street location, with remaining pairs releasing online from 12pm the same day. Sizes US8-US12 will be available including half sizes, but remember to get in quick as numbers are limited.

CONVERSE 1970 CHUCK TAYLOR HI & LO

December 19th, 2013

Converse are right back at it, dishing out two of their latest colourways of their coveted first string retro 1970 Chuck Taylor All Stars. February 26th, 2013

Converse have been at it again, delivering a new range of First String Standards with their 1970’s Chuck Taylor All Star collection. Each pair has the addition features of the traditional stitching on the sidewall, vintage license plates on the heels, super heavy-grade canvas upper, and the final detail of the ‘player’s name’ badge on the tongue’s inner.
