Converse's signature smile is back, having delivered their latest rendition of the classic Jack Purcell. Coming to us in Spinach Green, the signature lo cut 'badminton' sneaker comes to us in a tightly woven moleskin canvas upper accented by white stitching, naturally finished metal eyelets, and laced up in a waxed rope lace. These seemingly small finite changes and details completely transform the Jack Purcell silhouette before sitting atop it's crisp white sole unit, and sliding in a pressed cork inner sole providing the perfect amount of comfort that comes with all of Converse's signature limited ranges. Available in store and online now, alongside the rest of this season's selections from Converse.

The First String Converse team have come together yet again to craft a Japanese centric silhouette with the Shibori Jack Purcell. Taking to the classic Jack Purcell upper, each pair is specially dyed before been placed onto its signature sole unit using a traditional Japanese dying method. Each canvas upper is meticulous series of binds, twists, and folds, in which the natural indigo dyes take to the uncompressed segments of the fabrics to form the patterns you see before you. This unique mix of rich indigo stripes is contrasted against the undyed areas of the natural canvas base. To finish it all off, add blue piping on the edges, a blue heel tab, blue and white laces, and white stitching complete this latest first string release. The second instalment of the 1970’s Chuck Taylor All Star Collection has arrived, and is now available! With the first release in the Black and the Parchment selling out in days the addition of colour will surely see these fly off the shelves.

As many of you will know, these may look like standard Chuck Taylors to the untrained eye but, these beauties show us the comparison of quality from back in the 70’s to now. The finer details include such things as a slightly higher rubber foxing along the sole, added cushioning, and a slightly more substantial toe box. Each pair has the additional features of the traditional stitching on the sidewall, vintage license plates on the heels, super heavy-grade canvas upper, and the final detail of the ‘player’s name’ badge on the tongue’s inner. Available in store and online now in Crimson Red and Sunflower Yellow in extremely limited numbers, you'll be sorry if you miss out on these!
