Given the orSlow catalogue we can't say that a Hawaiian shirt was something we were expecting to see, but now that it's here we're stoked it exists! Japan has a close affinity with Hawaii – the island nation-come American state played host of many Japanese migrants who chose to call it home.

Through that cultural exchange the Aloha shirt – an item with significance to the Hawaiian people – combined with Japanese traditional fabrics used in kimono making, creating the blueprint for the "Hawaiian shirt" look we know and love.
