We welcome by way of Amsterdam the Dutch label Camiel Fortgens B.V. to UP THERE for the Spring/Summer 2024 season.

Founded in 2014 by designer Camiel Fortgens, the eponymous label was established when Fortgens graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven. With an education conducted outside of fashion schools, Camiel found himself unbound by the norms and traditions commonly adhered to by most labels. This lack of constraint allowed a practice in exploration of clothing as a concept devoid from restriction and convention—challenging the idea of 'normal' and what function clothing plays in our daily life.

Best-known for playful proportions and deliberately unfinished looking pieces, Camiel Fortgens brings a laid-back approach to the often-prescriptive world of fashion.
