Brisbane's Laced has teamed up with Le Coq Sportif to create the 'Banana Bender' Zenith. These latest collaborative efforts take to the Zenith with rich maroon features as the main colour representing the place that Laced has called home since 2006; Queensland, Australia. This stands out on a classic neutral base of Optical White and High Rise grey. For accents Dark Grenadine sits highlighting the hallmark cockerel of le coq sportif whilst Pool Green echoes an original Zenith colourway. The earth coloured gum soles round out the shoe’s exterior colour all this whilst staying true to the original Zenith, utilising the same vintage-look mesh and suedes. The footbeds share pop colours from the shoe; the seemingly abstract design mirroring the Brisbane river, the City’s most defining feature cutting through the CBD not once but three times. The small white dot represents the location of the Laced store.

To finish it all off, each of the heels feature separate embroidered branding with the right wearing the Laced logo in contrasting white. The left heel displays an unmistakable bright yellow banana as Queenslanders are often known as Banana Benders suggesting their general laid-back attitude.

The Le Coq Sportif x Laced 'Banana' Benders will hit the shelves here at Up There this Saturday the 28th of March from 11am at both our Level 1/15 McKillop Street and 208 Little Collins Street stores with remaining pairs available online from 12pm the same day. Pairs will be available for $160 in sizes US5 through to US13.
